TropAg COVID-19 Guidelines

The health and safety of all delegates attending the TropAg conference is our highest priority. TropAg would like to inform delegates of the measures that will be in place during the conference and provide links for the further information should it be required.

Domestic Travellers

There are currently no domestic border restrictions for people entering Queensland from other States and Territories within Australia. Get the latest information here.

International Travellers

Delegates should check to see if there are any Australian Government eligibility requirements they must meet before entering Australia.

You can also visit Smartraveller for more information.

During TropAg

Delegates should not enter the venue if they have been diagnosed as having COVID-19 or are feeling unwell with symptoms that may indicate infection with COVID-19, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, or unusual levels of fatigue.

If at any stage during the Conference delegates develop symptoms, delegates should put on a mask and immediately exit the building. A Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) can be collected from the conference registration prior to exit.

Additional measures include:

  • Select symposia sessions will be placed in Plaza Ballroom and Plaza Auditorium to assist with the spacing of delegates during sessions
  • TropAg staff will be placed at symposia and plenary entry points to hand out masks to encourage mask wearing when physical distancing isn’t possible
  • Personal hand sanitiser bottles and masks will be made available to each delegate to take with them as they move around the conference
  • Conference dinner tables will be spaced two meters apart (rather than 1.5m) to assist with physical distancing
  • The conference trade display has been spread across the Plaza Ballroom and Plaza Auditorium foyers to provide increased spacing for networking during breaks.
