ABOUT TROPAG

With the global population estimated to reach 10 billion by 2050, the pressure is on for food and agricultural scientists to support the production of high-quality agricultural produce and nutritious food to meet population growth.

This message set the tone for 1000 delegates from around 53 countries who attended the fourth TropAg conference in Brisbane from Monday 31 October to 2 November 2022.

TropAg shaped the Science of Tomorrow, by featuring leading Australian and international scientific voices who are actively engaged in advancing research and raising awareness of the many challenges in the diverse field of agriculture and food production.

TropAg was hosted by The University of Queensland – a world leader in agriculture and food research, with support from the Queensland Government via the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, a Scientific Committee, an International Advisory Committee and vital partners and sponsors.

TropAg will return in 2025 for its fifth conference from Tuesday 11 to Thursday 13 November at the Royal International Convention Centre, Brisbane, Australia.

To stay up-to-date with all the conference updates, join the TropAg Mailing List or email tropag@uq.edu.au.

We look forward to welcoming you in 2025!

TropAg event organisers and affiliates acknowledge the Traditional Owners and their custodianship of the lands on which we meet. We pay our respects to their Ancestors and their descendants, who continue cultural and spiritual connections to Country. We recognise their valuable contributions to Australian and global society.
